My Story

My name is Stephen Chabak and I have committed my life to helping individuals get the closure that they need when it comes to the health and wellbeing and I apply these principles to my family. In my work, I strive for functional independence and confidence. My goal would have been to do this with my children, but life undoubtedly gone in the way there.

I am divorced from my wife who made a conscious decision to keep my children from me. While the courts have had no evidence to do this, injustice still prevails. To add insult to injury, the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) whose job is to protect the child opted to protect her own interests and agenda, completely eroding any possibility of a "amicable" separation. While the separation was far from simple, I am floored at the level of greed, corruption, and weaponized ignorance.

Since then, I have made it my mission to expose the corruption of the Connecticut Family Court system and Departments of Children & Family through a journalistic lens bringing my own experiences to light, creating awareness for others, and empowering fathers, mothers, guardians, etc. who have been burdened by this true miscarriage of justice.

Divorce is not simple. It impacts everyone. Child custody battles are not simple. It impacts everyone. It seems to be however; that the true issue at hand: Protecting the children, has gone by the wayside making way for pettiness, corruption, and narcissism. Whether you look at one post or all of them, I hope that you can appreciate the reasons why I am doing this. My children are my world and my life. My relationship with my ex-wife should not get in the way of the relationship with my children.

There is a lot to fix in this world. If you are able and willing, please help me in my journey to helping end this corruption. Please share or contribute the GoFundMe by clicking here.
