It is the job of the police to protect us, but it is our job as citizens to protect the good cops from the crooked ones.
It should be the job of an honest elected official to do this, but sometimes they need help too...or have ulterior motives.

Food For Thought: Another Perspective

While Chris Murphy would like to blame the gun for every shooting, why doesn't he want to blame the car for every drunk driving death?

11,000 people die each year from drunk driving according to the National Health & Safety Administration. Or thirty people per day. This means that statistically every day we see a Sandy Hook shooting plus 4 in drunk driving deaths.

Did you know that cars can be equipped with technology that prevents drunk drivers from getting behind the wheel? This is only implemented once a person has committed this crime but could be for everyone.

Have you ever heard Chris Murphy tell you to sue the car manufacturers? Perhaps there is a reason why. Can you imagine if there was technology to prevent the gun from firing if it knew you had malicious intent? Well, if there was, the gun companies might have gone bankrupt a long time ago. Cars and guns, both can potentially be weapons of mass destruction. If we are going to blame the gun, then we need to blame the car. Both are weapons. Both are capable of harm.

What Chris doesn't want to talk about is that the policies that he has voted for is destroying people, families, and leaving them in despair--all while the rich are getting richer.

Chris, the ball is in your court. Our policies need fixing. Remember folks, exercise your right to vote. They need our vote when it is convenient for them. It is about time for them to earn our vote for what is right for us.
